Volleyball - Mon, Sep. 17, 2012
HOLLY SPRINGS, MS - The Southern University at New Orleans Lady Knights won all four of their contests at the Rust College Bearcats Nation volleyball tournament to extend their winning streak to seven.  SUNO only lost one game in the four matches in knocking off Rust, Tougaloo, Stillman and Victory Colleges.

"I thought that we were much more consistent than we've been all season," said SUNO Head Coach Naomi Washington.  "We played with more focus and communicated better so I was pleased to see that from the girls.  One of the biggest keys for us was that our offense is becoming less predictable.  We were very reliant on our outside hitters early on, but now our middle is really coming along and that's going to make us much tougher to defend as we move forward.  I don't think that we've reached our potential, so we're going to get in the gym and keep working as we get ready for conference play."
SUNO opens GCAC play on the road at Dillard University this Thursday before finally getting to play its home opener on Friday against Rust College.  The Lady Knights are 7-2 this season.
