NEW ORLEANS - Xavier University of Louisiana announced Monday a new date for its postponed women's volleyball match against Loyola, plus an additional road match.

The Gold Nuggets will play Loyola at 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at The Barn or the Convocation Academic Center, which is nearing completion. The match originally was scheduled for Sept. 4 but was postponed in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac.

Xavier added a match against Trinity Baptist College at 2:30 p.m. EDT 
Saturday in Jacksonville, Fla. That contest will follow the Gold Nuggets' Gulf Coast Athletic Conference opener at Edward Waters on Friday.

The next match for Xavier (5-3) will start at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Mobile (11-4) at The Barn.
