Toccoa Falls, GA. The Talladega College Lady Tornadoes Volleyball team won their 8th straight match Monday night with a thrilling 3 to 2 victory over Toccoa Falls College.

The Lady Tornadoes dropped the first set to the Lady Seahawks 16-25, but rebounded by winning the next two sets 25-23 and 26-24. The Seahawks would not go down without a fight as they overcame a 5 point deficit in the fourth set to win 25-23. Talladega College opened the fifth and deciding set with a 7-2 run and the teams changed sides with TC ahead 8-3. The Lady Tornadoes would not look back as they pushed the score to 12- 6. The Seahawks scored the next three points and TC then closed out the match with 3 point run to finish with a 15-9 set win.

The Lady Tornadoes were led by Zia Mose who crushed 20 kills on the night and also had 8 digs, 5 blocks and one ace. Sarina Thompson added 15 kills, 12 digs, 6 blocks and 3 aces. Gabby Powell dished out 48 assists and helped defensively with 10 digs. Paris Powell set a new school record for digs in a match with 30 digs for the evening. Avrielle Walker chipped in with 11.

The TC Volleyball team returns to action Tuesday 9/25 at Home in Tornado Alley against LaGrange College. First serve is scheduled for 6 PM. They stay at home for the rest of the week with Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Thursday and Saturday. Thursday, 9/27, Dillard Bleu Devils come to Tornado Alley and Ed Waters plays the Lady Tornadoes on Saturday 9/29
