Tougaloo, MS-The Tougaloo College Lady Bulldogs' Volleyball Team hosted Edward Waters College in conference play tonight in the Dawg Pound.  The Lady Bulldogs downed the Lady Tigers in straight sets (255, 25-22, 25-23) to remain undefeated in the conference (3-0).

After coming off a hard loss to the University of Mobile on Tuesday night in a non-conference match, the Lady Bulldogs were determined to bounce back and keep their clean slate in conference action.  In the opening set, the Lady Tigers did not have a chance with the Lady Bulldogs, as the Lady Bulldogs would go up 7-1 on the Lady Tigers.  The Lady Bulldogs would continue their dominance over the Lady Tigers, only allowing them to score 5 points to take the set 25-5.  After several substitutions on the Lady Bulldogs' side, the Lady Tigers would come alive and fight with the Lady Bulldogs, but it would not be enough to win a set as the Lady Bulldogs would take sets two and three to get the straight sets victory and go up 3-0 in conference play.  The Lady Bulldogs at 10-6 overall.

Pacing the way for the Lady Bulldogs was Dayane Souza and Briana Murphy with 8 kills apiece.  Souza also had 10 digs.  Carlishia Smith and Alexandria Thompson chipped in 4 kills apiece, with Thompson contributing 17 digs.  Jana Williams added 19 assists for the Lady Bulldogs.  The Lady Bulldogs will continue conference play on Saturday as they play host to Dillard University.  Game time is set for 1:00 P.M. in the Dawg Pound.
