KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and NeuLion have announced the video-streaming schedule for the 2012 fall NAIA National Championships. The following fall events will offer live video and audio streaming on the NAIA Network located on www.NAIA.org: NAIA Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships (awards ceremony only); NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship, presented by Carabba's Italian Grill; NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship, presented by the Sports Medicine Center at the Orthopaedic Group, P.C.; and the NAIA Volleyball National Championship, presented by CNOS Foundation.
The NAIA Network gives fans access to complete live video coverage of select national championships. In addition, fans have the opportunity to watch championship game archives, championship game highlights and feature stories. During live streaming, the user can watch live statistics on the same website screen and have opportunity to view Twitter feeds.
"The NAIA is looking forward to another year of partnering with NeuLion to offer our fans this streaming service," NAIA President and CEO Jim Carr said. "We are excited to have the Cross Country National Championships awards ceremony streamed live for the first time. NeuLion provides a high-level of quality and we are excited to work with them to showcase our student-athletes at select NAIA National Championship events."
The awards ceremony of the cross country championships has been added to the schedule for the first time. After the team and individual champions are crowned at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, the awards ceremony will be streamed live at approximately 2:30 p.m. PT on Nov. 17.
From Nov. 26 - Dec. 1, the entire 15-game national championship for men's and women's soccer will be streamed live. Both championships will take place at new sites as the women's event will be played in Orange Beach, Ala., while the men's tournament will be held in Montgomery, Ala. The volleyball national championship will have select action streamed live from Nov. 30 - Dec. 1. Beginning with single-elimination play on Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. CT, there is an opportunity to watch up to 11 matches that conclude with the national championship final at 8 p.m. on Dec. 1.
