Volleyball - Wed, Oct. 31, 2012

The Lady Bleu Devils (5-10 overall, 4-5 GCAC) had its win streak come to a halt as they dropped a game against the Lady Tigers of Texas Southern University in three sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-20).  The loss snaps Dillard's two game win streak.

Carolyn Baker, the reigning GCAC Volleyball Player of the Week, had a game-high 18 kills and also added four serving aces and five digs.  Jamara Celistan chipped in with six kills of her own and also produced three solo blocks.  Jessica Goods-Morris also had a strong game as she produced five kills and had two solo blocks.

Destinee Higgins had a team-high 14 digs while Astasia Williams had a team-high 16 assists.  Shebi White was bothered by an ankle injury she suffered earlier in the year and was inactive for most of the night.  As a team Dillard had a hitting percentage of .253, and TSU hit .351 as a team.

The Lady Bleu Devils look to bounce back on Thursday evening as they face cross town foe Loyola University.  Game time in the Battlefield is set for 7:00 p.m.
