Men's Basketball - Sun, Jan. 6, 2013

Little Rock, AR - Southern University at New Orleans returned from their Winter layoff to face the Philander Smith Panthers in the GCAC opener for both teams.  The Knights entered the game on a four-game winning streak, but left with a 84-81 overtime loss.  SUNO could not hold on to a ten point half time lead as the Panthers shut down the Knights' offense over the last 20 minutes of regulation.

SUNO struggled from the field, connecting on just 40 percent of their shot attempts.  They also committed 29 turnovers while dishing out just 12 assists.  The Knights will look to rebound when they play at Fisk on Monday night.
