MOBILE, Ala. -- Tramaine Perry, a native of Hammond, La., was named to the NAIA All-America Second Team and Gimel Lewis, a native of Arima, Trinidad was named as a NAIA All-America Honorable Mention the NAIA National Office announced on Thursday.

Perry, who became the UM all-time scoring leader on Feb. 17 by scoring 23 points in leading the University of Mobile to an 89-75 win over Belhaven College, was a NAIA All-America Third-Team selection last season.

The UM all-time leading scorer, led the team in scoring with 15.8 points a game this season and was second in rebounds at 5.9 a game.

Perry will graduate from Mobile as the school’s all-time leading scorer (2,144 points), all-time leading rebounder (878 rebounds), all-time field goals made leader(801 FG), all-time field goals attempted leader (1,672 FG att.) and the school’s record holder for points in a game (46).

Lewis, who was named a NAIA All-America Honorable Mention, will end his Mobile career as the school’s all-time leading shot blocker (229 blocks) and second on the school’s all-time rebounding list (874 rebounds), just four rebounds shy of Perry’s school record. Lewis also holds the school’s individual game record for free throws made in one game with 18, and is tied for most blocked shots in one game with six.

Mobile finished the 2004-05 season with a 30-6 overall record and their second consecutive trip the NAIA National Tournament.
