Notes: Had unbeaten week to lead Xavier to its second consecutive NAIA unaffiilated group tournament championship. Clinched the championship dual against 19th-ranked SCAD Atlanta with a three-set victory against Alina Tseplukhova, who is ranked 43rd in singles by the ITA. Howell is No. 6 in NAIA singles and, with freshman partner Brion Flowers, ascended to No. 1 this past week in doubles. Howell and Flowers will enter nationals with a nine-match win streak. On Tuesday, Xavier was voted No. 1 in the coaches poll -- it's the first time a Xavier team in any sport has been ranked first in an NAIA poll.
